UPDATED x2: Jerry Lawler Arrested – Suspended by WWE

UPDATE x2: According to Pwinsider.com, Jerry Lawler and his fiancée, Lauryn McBride, have been released on bail. They are scheduled for arraignment at 8:30AM ET on Monday.

UPDATE: WMC Action News 5 has posted the following video, featuring Jerry Lawler discussing his arrest from last night. Lawler explains that he came home, that his fiancée had been drinking, they argued and she scratched his face. Lawler denied the claims that he attacked her, and that she threw the gun at him.

ORIGINAL: According to Pwinsider.com, Jerry Lawler and his fiancée were arrested at Lawler’s home this morning following an argument that reportedly became violent. Lawler’s fiancée claims that he shoved her face against a stove, placed a gun on top of it and told her to kill herself. Lawler claims that the argument started after his fiancée had lied about where she had been. He also says she was drunk, scratched him and then threw a candle at him. As far as the gun, he claims she knew where it was and threatened to kill herself. Lawler then claimed he stopped her from leaving, so that she would not be driving drunk. Both were charged with domestic assault.

Due to the arrest, WWE issued the following statement, announcing the suspension of Lawler…

“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Jerry Lawler has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest.”
